Backgammon – Basics
ByThe game of backgammon starts when each player rolls his dice, and player having the highest number in the die starts first. This action of throwing die continues throughout the game. Suppose the player has 4-6 in two respective dice, then he should move 4 for a checker and six for another checker. Player is also allowed to move same checker twice if he moves in two separate steps like 4 and then 6. When both dice show the same number then it is called as a double (e.g. 3-3). If this situation the player must move four of his checkers by the same number which appeared in double (e.g. 3).
